Hello Hound

Every day, hundreds of thousands of pounds of dog waste is thrown away, or disposed of improperly. These messes are a main contributor to the contamination of rivers and streams in the Puget Sound Watershed.

Dogs are special to us, but their poop is special too. It contains harmful bacteria and microorganisms that can't be composted using traditional methods. So even if you are buying compostable poop bags, dog poop isn't suitable to be thrown into your yard waste. In fact, that's part of the problem.

Hello Hound will pick up your dog poop and compost it properly. Currently, the healthy compost goes back to our communitities, non-profit organizations, and garden co-ops. Beyond the compost, Hello Hound will donate a portion of your subscription and product proceeds to the Humane Society of the United States, The ASPCA, and the Animal Welfare Institute.
